
The annual Forum of the Confédération Fiscale Européenne (CFE) on:
“INFORMATION ACROSS BORDERS
In Indirect and Direct Tax”
will take place on Thursday 15 April 2010 from 9:00 hrs to 17:15 hrs at the Representation of Saxony-Anhalt to the European Union, Boulevard Saint Michel 80, 1040 Brussels.
On 29 and 30 April 2010, the Academy of European Law (ERA) is organising a conference on "The Impact of the ECJ Case Law on National Direct Tax System".
On 25 January 2010, CFE invited to its yearly dinner reprensatatives from the European Commission of the European Union. Please find some photos from the evening.
On 26th and 27th May 2010, the OECD Forum 2010 will take place at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris.
The annual OECD Forum is your chance to take part in the debate on major international policy issues alongside the OECD Ministerial meeting. More than 10 000 people from all parts of society have already exchanged ideas and experiences, and played their part in shaping the responses to global challenges.

On 12 January 2010, a hearing of Algirdas Šemeta, Commissioner-designate for Taxation and Customs Union, Audit and Anti-Fraud took place before the Committees for Budgetary Control (CONT), Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) and Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) of the European Parliament.

On 1st and 2nd March 2010, The European Commission, DG Taxation and Customs Union is organising his fourth edition of the Brussels Tax Forum. The theme for this edition will be "Tax Policies For A Post-Crisis World".

On 11 December 2009, the Annual Russian Conference of members of the Chamber of Tax Advisers took place in Moscow. More than 300 delegates of professional community of tax advisers have gathered to discuss topics of their interest and exchange views on a number of issues.
The European Commission - DG TAXUD organised a one day conference on “What taxation for a low carbon economy?” in Brussels. The conference focused on ways to address global warming through targeted taxation instruments, in theory and in practice and taking into account broader economic and social considerations. It was chaired by DG TAXUD Director General Walter Defaa and keynote speakers included professors, professionals from different areas, MEP and others.

The Institute of Indirect Taxation and the Chartered Institute of Taxation are organizing together their first Joint International Indirect Tax Conference, which will be held on Thursday 25 February 2010 in London. Keynote speakers will be Richard Lyal, Legal Adviser, Legal Service, The European Commission, Charles Meechan of Ernst & Young and Alan McLintock of Sabre Holdings, as well as Stephen Coleclough, President of the CFE.
