Suomen verokonsultit SVK ry is a private association which was founded on 14th February 1995. The members are mainly certified auditors connected to the Finnish auditors association. In Finland there is no special professional title for tax advisers, consequently there is neither an official examination nor educational requirements for those who practise tax. These duties are normally carried out by auditors or lawyers.
Natural persons with a satisfactory theoretical level of education and practice in tax can apply for membership.The objects of SVK are to keep Finnish tax consultants up-to-date in different areas of national and international tax legislation as well as to contribute to the development of national legislation.
