In the first session, Risks of external ownership and regulatory responses, Russell Wallman (Director of Government Relations, The Law Society) examined The implementation of the Clementi report - UK experience. Sophie Maletras (European Commission, DG Internal Market) then examined The EU Directive on Services in the Internal Market and focused upon Requirements on multidisciplinary activities.
In the second session, The pervasiveness of European Community law, Hans Gilliams (Partner, Eubelius) highlighted The situation under EU competition law and Philippe Léger (Former Advocate General at the European Court of Justice) talked about The influence of the European legislation on both tax and professional law.
