On Tuesday 20 November 2007, the conference on „Tax Advisers - Undermining or enhancing the tax system?“ -Tax Advisers, Revenue Authorities and Tax Payers - Relationships and Interactions” was held in Brussels.

Please download the programme (EN, FR, DE) and a summary report , written by Úna Maguire, Senior Taxation Manager, Irish Taxation Institute and Delegate of the CFE Fiscal Committee).

The conference dealt with the OECD study on Tax Intermediaries, which the OECD Forum on Tax Administration announced following its meeting in Seoul in September 2006 with the objective of presenting a report to the next FTA meeting at Capetown in January 2008. The intention of the CFE conference was to consider how the issues identified will affect the development of the relationship between the taxpayers, intermediaries and revenue authorities. Representatives from a number of revenue authorities, including the Chairman of the OECD working group, Chris Davidson, presented their views. Richard Veffer, Head of Tax and Treasury, TOMTOM N.V., Amsterdam, Frank Daly, Chairman of the Revenue Commissioners, Dublin and the Chairman of the CFE Subcommittee on the OECD study, Henk Koller (tax adviser), responded.
